Storage and retrieval devices (S/R devices) have now become indispensible in modern high-bay warehouses. They store and retrieve goods at great heights. They travel at high speeds and must be accurately positioned in order to store or retrieve the goods at the correct storage bay.
All movements of the S/R device are co-ordinated by the warehouse control computer during automatic operation. Whereby data transmission can be carried out via the data photoelectric switch (infrared).
The following SICK products meet the maximum demands for modern sensors for positioning the S/R device and for data transmission: The DMP3 position finder The new DMP3 position finder is the unique ideal solution for fine positioning the load uptake equipment of the S/R device. The DME4000 distance measuring device The new DME4000 laser distance measuring device is ideal for perfect positioning of the S/R device in the aisle. It offers ranges of up to 220 m, integrated speed monitoring and multifunctional switching outputs, e.g. for defined distance values or an advanve failure warning. The DME4000 can also be used in deep-freeze stores thanks to its temperature range of +55°C to -40°C. The DS30 Distance Sensor The new DS30 Distance 'Sensor is responsible for checking occupancy - with its two switching outputs it is also suitable for double-depth storage bays.
The measurement range is from 200 to 2,000 mm and it offers precise background suppression up to 150 m. ISD400 data transmission photoelectric switches Communication with the S/R device is handled by the new ISD400 data transmission photoelectric switch. With compact dimensions and equipped with an informative display, the ISD400 offers a high level of user-friendliness during parameterisation, alignment or for status queries.
